Damp Proof Courses

By their nature, masonry walls are not waterproof. DPCs prevents the movement of moisture or water from one part of the construction to another.


Often used in conjunction with a damp proof membrane (DPM) in the floor structure, the system should be carefully designed and detailed to ensure damp proofing continuity especially since climate change is increasing the risk of more extreme weather, such as more intense heavy downpours.
